We own and operate both Digital and Analog Wide-Area Networks

In addition to designing and implementing private systems, RFC Wireless has its own wide-area network that companies can utilize to cover multiple sites. RFC operates both a stand-alone and a centralized trunking network providing dispatch service on 10 separate mountaintop sites covering a large geographic area in Northern California utilizing LTR Analog, Capacity Plus and Connect Plus Digital Platforms. Our digital network allows you to roam between sites without changing channels.

We hold FB8 Exclusive-use Frequencies

Good spectrum is the foundation of any quality wide-area radio network. We hold licenses to a large spectrum of non-shared, exclusive-use frequencies offering a 40 mile FB8 protected service area. FB8 is a valuable designation that comes with an FCC license stating that the licensed radio facility has a protected service area. That’s important because a system with a protected service area can handle the most users. On frequencies below 470MHz, most business and industrial two-way radio users share the frequencies with other users. Each user must monitor the frequency before transmitting and wait if the frequency is busy.

On our FB8 non-shared, protected frequencies, your service will maintain low latency, high reliability and maximum accessibility. These exclusive-use frequencies allow home channels to always be accessible for channel assignments, no electronic monitoring is necessary. This maximizes system access and system capacity for long-term reliability and customer satisfaction.

True Business Class Network Infrastructure

Other carriers are using consumer-grade ISP network connections to link their sites together. RFC’s Network is built around a Business Class Infrastructure offering higher levels of reliability, greater security and extremely low latency. There are additional costs for this type of service, but the benefits are better voice quality and QoS. Having both conventional and digital networks is a big advantage as well allowing customers the flexibility to choose the most efficient option given their needs.

Our Digital Network and Alliances can cover you virtually anywhere

With Global Alliances, we’ve managed projects across the country and around the globe. Our MOTOTRBO Technology Platform business improves productivity and operational effectiveness by enabling you to communicate with and provide information to your employees virtually anywhere and at anytime. Connect Plus multi-site digital trunking enables you to accommodate  high volume, wide area communication. Whether you need coverage at a single site or across multiple sites.

Connect Plus can be scaled to meet your communication needs. Your work teams can not only talk to one another or the main facility, they can also use data applications to make their job more efficient and safe, including text messaging, location tracking and dispatch console capability. All the while, you gain the added benefits of TDMA digital technology like increased capacity and clear audio. MOTOTRBO devices feature increased power, extended battery life and the ability to use either our digital or analog networks.
